Ready to get your groove on? We are practicing to the sounds of a live DJ twice a month now. Join us as DJ Sir Jackson and Dj Ozone spin as we practice to the power Baptiste sequence.
Austin is the live music capitol of the world and we are join in the celebration. Join the staff of Breath and Body Yoga for this incredible opportunity to practice to a live DJ. Dj Ozone and DJ Sir Jackson turn up the music and mixes our favorite music during this 90-minute practice. This is the time to get crazy and celebrate your practice. Bring your friends and break loose on your mat!
Free Kosmic Kombucha is served afterwards.

Come check our our newest class to hit the yoga scene- Hips & Hammies. This is takes a lighter approach to the firey "Journey Into Power" sequence. Approved by Baptiste Power Yoga, we are happy to introduce a 60 minute class that focuses just on deep hip openers and hamstrings. Perfect for the athlete and active yogis who cycle, run, spin, swim and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Yoga is becoming respected as a healing system due to scientific research that shows its therapeutic value. Yoga Therapy (yoga cikitsa) is the process of empowering individuals to progress toward improved health and well-being through the application of the philosophy and practice of Yoga. The primary intention of yoga therapy is to heal at the causal level of dis-ease and secondarily, it can assist in relief of symptoms. Yoga Therapypractitioners provide for holistic healing by incorporating practices for the body, mind and spirit.
Join Dr. Mark Uridel, DPT, NCTMB, ERYT for an informational and experiential workshop that introduces this ancient and cutting edge system of healing.
Dr. Uridel is a Licensed Physical Therapist with 15 years of experience as an orthopedic and neurologic clinician specializing in the treatment of back and neck pain. He is a Certified Yoga Teacher and Registered Yoga Therapist with 24 years of experience. He is also nationally certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.
He is an accomplished speaker and has presented Yoga Therapy for the Low Back and Neck nationally at the Southwest Yoga Conference, Body Mind Spirit Educational Conference, Texas Yoga Retreat and Austin Yoga Festival. His video discs “Yoga for a Healthy Neck” and “Yoga for a Healthy Back” have received national acclaim.
Dr. Uridel integrates his Physical Therapy expertise with his experience in Yoga to provide holistic healing for his patients through his company Healing Arts Yoga Therapy.

You have 3 exciting opportunities this month to help us reach our goal, “Send Walter to Level 2!”. Desirae has been mentoring Walter Mugwe, through the Africa Yoga Project for over 2 years and has committed to raising $3000 to get him to Baron’s Level 2.
Join us for a very special, one of a kind class, 75-minute class this Sunday. Through the wonders of technology Walter will be teaching this class via Skype, after class there will be a short video about the Aftica Yoga Project as well as fresh fruit and kombucha.
We have transformed our 2 Detox this month into fundraising extravaganzas! May 3rd and 17th, 6:30-8:00, all in attendance have the opportunity to buy into a raffle chock full of yogi goodies, announced at the end of class.

Mentorship Yoga is here. Not only is teaching yoga a noble profession it is a true calling. If you are called we are your support. Navigating a career as a yoga teacher can be a tricky path. You completed a 200-hour (or more) teacher training, now what? We are here to pick up where your last training left off. We offer you one on one and group support in the day in and day out details, issues, and challenges to set you up for success in your career as a yoga teacher.
- Have you ever been curious about the following?• How do I start teaching? Stepping out of teacher training can leave you enlightened, empowered, and ready to teach, but it does not leave you with your own class. Learn how to land a class in the studio you want.
- Are my words landing in their hearts and in their bodies? Learn how to stay present to your class, hold and maintain the space for growth.
When do I nurture them and when do I push them? Learn how to create a well balance class between physical, mental, spiritual dynamic of a class to leave students feeling balanced. - Do I teach when I am sick or injured? Learn how to take care of yourself first and foremost, in order to show up fully for your students.
- I am exhausted after I teacher a class! Learn how to maintain you personal energy while teaching, so you can be a sustainable teacher.
- How do I develop my own workshop? As yoga students and teachers we all have knowledge and passion to share. Learn how to develop an idea into an effective and marketable workshop.
- Feedback. How to give constructive, empowering feedback to yourself and other teachers and how to receive and digests ALL forms of feedback that teachers are open to.
