Module 6: Breath, Meditation and Sound Baths

Mindfulness, meditation and breathing are part of our every day lives. It is also a training to deepen your state of consciousness.  Join Laura Dunworth and Desirae Pierce and learn how to be more mindful through different types of meditation, breathing techniques and sound healing. The body heals in stillness and in the restful state. In this weekend workshop, we will teach the foundations of meditation. We will learn to take your mindfulness practice and create a daily practice. You will learn to power of the breath, breathing and pranayama. You will also be introduced to the power of sounds, Tibetan healing bowls. With mediation, breath and sounds, your body releases stress, tension and patterns that don’t serve us anymore. Mediation offers a path of increased happiness, creativity and possibility. Join us this weekend for an unfolding of what meditation, breathing techniques and sound healing can do for you. We will also leave you with tools to teach your family and community these tools as well. Live live fully with yoga, meditation, breathing and sounds.

Module 1: Discover the Power of the Sun Salutations

Yoga offers us hundreds of poses and unlimited variations. Within each pose, lies the form or shape. As muscles move, the bones stack by the “action” within the pose. These actions consist of the breath, the foundation, the muscle energy, balancing spirals and then the alignment for achieving your fullest peak in each pose. This workshop is designed to demystify the common actions within all yoga poses. These "action principles" are the pillars of each pose and give access to the fullest alignment in each pose. Not only will you empower each pose, but you will achieve a deep understanding of the form, action and full alignment of our sun salutations with the Breath and Body Yoga alignment system. Your body is an incredible vehicle for this life. When you can move your body with breath and directionality, you can flow with strength and ease at the same time.
